Shout Outs
Hi everyone,
On Oct. 12th, I wrapped up my first video as an extra in, "Dirty Cowboy Stud!" Then on Oct. 19th I was an extra on an episode of Tyler Perry's very own, "Meet The Browns!" Both were alot of fun and I really enjoyed myself. Thanks Talent 6!!!!! You are the joint!

Little Mikey was 10yrs old, when on a really hot day in the summer, he had an idea. Mikey had seen the other kids in his neighborhood setting up “Lemonade”stands in front of their homes, with signs that said “Lemonade-10 cents a cup”! Well, Mikey didn't have any Lemonade mix, so he went to his Dad who was mowing their lawn, and once his Dad turned off the mower, he said the following: “Dad, I set up the old table we had in the basement on the curb in front of our house, and I want to take a handful of landscaping rocks, put them on the table, and sell them for ONE DOLLAR EACH”. Mikey's Dad said, “Go ahead Mikey, but you will NEVER get anyone to buy a rock for a dollar!
Well, Mikey made the sign, set up his table and rocks on top, and got a lawn chair to sit in. Mikey then waited for cars to drive by, and every time one did, he would hold up his sign that said “Rocks-$1.00 Each”. After about 4 hours, when his Dad finished mowing and trimming the lawn, his Dad said “You see Mikey, I told you NO ONE would pay a Dollar for a rock. Then, just as his Dad walked into their garage, a car came slowly down the street, and then stopped right in front of Mikey's Table. An Elderly Man got out, and picked out a rock, then paid Mikey with a One Dollar Bill.
Mikey went running around the yard, waving the Dollar Bill above his head, and screaming,”I Told You Dad, I told You Dad; See, I DID sell a rock for One Dollar!!!”
At the Dinner Table that night, Mikey's Dad said, “Mikey, I have to compliment you on what you did today, and how you showed me that you were patient, and confident with your idea, until it actually worked”.Mikey's Dad continued, “Son, with what you showed me today, I think it's time for you to get an Allowance every week, and now that you are big enough, I am going to let you mow the lawn, and give you One Dollar a week, for doing it.”
Mikey Replied, “Thanks Dad, but I don't want an allowance. His Father asked “why not Mikey; are you telling me that you want to mow the grass every week for FREE?”
Mikey replied, “No Dad, the way I see it, You worked in the hot sun all day, mowing and trimming and dumping the grass, while sweat was dripping from your face, and your shirt soaking wet from the sweat as well. BUT, I sat in a lawn chair for a few hours, in the shade of the big tree in front of our house, and within 3 hours, I MADE A DOLLAR!
The Moral of the story? Always Stand By YOUR IDEAS, DREAMS and YOURSELF, no matter how many people tell you that YOU WILL FAIL. IT IS the things we have the COURAGE to try, even while everyone else is Laughing at us, That will bring us to Success and Faith in OURSELVES!
Thus, in summation and Regarding Talent6, keep submitting to EVERY Casting Call you can find. And disregard what your “friends” are telling you is a “Stupid Idea”. You may have to be patient, but eventually, a Casting Director or Other Talent6 Professional, WILL buy “YOUR ROCK”, just because you're intelligent enough to be YOURSELF, while all the others are LAUGHING AT YOU, while THEY don't have a DOLLAR in THEIR POCKET!!!!
