Kay Kostopoulos
Acting Teacher

Kay Kostopoulos is an actor and director who coaches theatre and business professionals. Her credits include A.C.T., Kay KostopoulosSan Francisco Shakespeare Festival and California Shakespeare Festival, where she also served as Education Director. Kay also performs as “Black Olive Jazz” with some of the finest classical and jazz musicians around the Bay. At Stanford, Kay directs and teaches undergraduate acting, audition, vocal production, and acting pedagogy for graduate students for the Department of Drama. She has taught over 40 Continuing Studies Classes, directed and acted in five CSP projects, and coached and performed voices in CSP’s Homer’s Odyssey on- line project. She has also acted in four seasons of Stanford Summer Theatre, is the co-creator and director of the Stanford Interactive Theatre Project in association with the School of Medicine, and teaches “Acting with Power” in the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Kay particularly enjoys nurturing new talent and promoting adult students in the acting world. She auditions incoming freshmen, and serves as advisor and coach for seniors, assisting them in their transition to the professional world.

Bruce Williams
Acting Teacher

Bruce Williams has been a professional actor for 32 years.  A member of SAG, AFTRA, and Actors’ Equity, he has performed and Bruce Williams produced commercials, industrials and television productions and has extensive theater experience as well.  Bruce has been a long standing faculty and company member at the American Conservatory Theater (ACT) where for 12 years he was the director of the Studio ACT and Summer Training Congress professional training programs and taught in the Master of Fine Arts program. ACT is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. He has also taught extensively at Stanford University, Santa Clara University, University of Hawaii, and Notre Dame de Namur University. Bruce is a member of the Board of Trustees for Theatre Bay Area and has a private practice teaching audition technique for the stage and camera.

Marty Pistone
Acting Coach

Marty PistoneMarty Pistone has been a faculty teacher at Stanford University, New York University, Berkeley Digital Film Institute, Juilliard School of the Arts, American Conservatory Theater, California Institute of the Arts, and the Lee Strasberg Institute. Marty received an MFA from the American Conservatory Theatre, where he also taught.  He has also worked as a producer and assistant director as well as an actor, stuntman, and fight director in film for over twenty years

Doug Traer
Acting Teacher

Doug TraerDoug Traer has worked on the casting of over 1,500 commercials and seen over 150,000 commercial auditions, directing talent like Leonardo Di Caprio, George Clooney, John Corbett and Vince Vaughn. He knows what works. An on-camera veteran of dozens of commercials for the past ten years, Doug has been teaching professional actors how to book commercials in Hollywood, Chicago and San Francisco.

Bryan has appeared on national TV and radio and presented to millions at conferences, workshops and training events. He has authored serveral books and has dedicated his life to helping people reach the top.
